*Besides the 76ers owner, rapper Meek Mill is getting some serious support from some high profile names. We’re talkin’ Rick Ross and the legendary Dr. J. They will at the forefront of a rally this afternoon/evening in Philly.
Several Philadelphia Eagles and other local entertainers are scheduled to show up at the event … which has also been promoted by Kevin Hart and Diddy.
Oh yeah, as far as the much need support from the 76ers’ co-owner, Michael Rubin, here are the details:
The co-owner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers became the latest high-profile voice to support rapper Meek Mill after he was sentenced to two to four years in prison last week.
Michael Rubin, who is also the executive chairman of the apparel company Fanatics and the co-owner of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, penned a letter to Judge Genece E. Brinkley, who handed down the sentence after Mill failed a drug test and violated travel restrictions set out by probation. The letter was obtained and published in full by Sports Illustrated.
