Eminem gave his fans a real treat last night as he decided to mix things up for his Saturday Night Live musical guest spot. While most guests perform two separate songs during the show, the rapper tore up the rulebook and gave one performance featuring a medley of three songs.
Viewers were delighted to hear him bring out ‘Stan’, his massive 2000 hit with Dido.
The medley also featured ‘Love the Way You Lie’, his 2010 duet with Rihanna, and his latest track ‘Walk on Water’, which he’s teamed up with Beyoncé for.
The nine-minute performance featured Skylar Grey, who co-produced Eminem’s new album, taking on all the female vocals.Viewers absolutely loved the surprise medley and praised both musicians.
Eminem is all geared up to release his ninth studio album Revival soon, although no release date has yet been set.His last album was 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which featured another Rihanna collaboration with ‘The Monster’.
The rapper recently won damages from a New Zealand political party after they used a song very similar to ‘Lose Yourself’ in campaign adverts.
Last night’s SNL was hosted by Chance the Rapper, with Saoirse Ronan set to take her turn on the show on December 2. U2 will also be performing.
