Crime of the Week: Police looking for man accused of robbing United Dairy Farmers store
Columbus Police are looking for a man accused of attempting to rob a United Dairy Farmers store.
It happened on June 18 at the UDF at 1043 W. Broad St. in the Franklinton area.
According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, the man demanded the clerk hand over cash from the register. When the clerk tried to call for help, the man reached across the counter and grabbed the clerk’s wrist. The clerk was able to wrestle his hand free, and started to run toward the back of the store.
Then, authorities said the man reached over the counter and tried to get the cash from the drawer himself, before being stopped by the clerk and a customer. The man fled the store without any cash, and no one was hurt.
He’s described as between 25 and 30 years old with a medium build, short brown hair and light facial hair.
